#9

Shut up and yelling at each other are not OK. We will speak respectfully to and of each other. We are family, whether you like it or not. Hands will be kept to yourself unless you are hugging. Only warm fuzzies please.
Seems like such a simple rule, right! I could not be more wrong. I love Jasper and Leo with all my heart-and they help make my life complete......but OMG REALLY????? A trip to the park with my brother and his daughters-it sounds so pleasant. I mean that, I really do.
I have one warning for the two-stay in check at the park. Show your nieces, brother and the other kiddos a good example. If you don't I will bring you home. HMPH! I have found that my definition and their definition of good example are two very different things. Hot and cold, sweet and sour, polka dot and zig-zag-Yep very different.
Jasper is climbing all over the top of the play palace instead of inside, as well as going up the down slide-ewwww breakin' the law! A polite reminder of the small children watching them-are you setting a good example? "Yeah." Ugh! "no your not-off the palace and find something else to do." That was a big mistake. What followed between these two boys was just short of a fist fight. How could they misunderstand me? First they were sent to the car-simple task, uh no! I see and orange and grey shoe in the air, then a black and white. An awkwardly been spine as Leo is running from Jasper-"I did Nothing!!" mmmmhmmmm sure you did. You both did. No he did-no it was him. Aye yi YI! time to go home boys.
They noticed I was leaving little biddy in the park and I was getting in the car with them. Yes, I did say leaving little biddy in the park. Have no fear my brother is still there-although that would have scared the crud out of them if he wasn't. Put that one in my pocket. Seriously, I would NEVER leave him there on his own.
We are driving up the hill. Leo says "I did nothing-why do I have to go home?" Jasper says "you pushed me off the toy to the ground." l- "no, you were already falling. I just put my foot there. See mom? Nothing." Nothing my fanny. This is a constant battle with these two precious cherubs. Can I just go back to work?
I will leave them alone to make each other miserable. They caught me off guard and listened. They stayed in there. Didn't even argue all the way up the stairs. They know they pushed the limit. I went back to the park and had a blast with the rest of my family.
Why must simple rules be so difficult to follow?
Yep-there is a box of wine of my fridge
